Saariselka for cross-border cooperation

August 27, Saariselka (Finland, the municipality of Inari) holds a working group on development of cross-border cooperation (Lapland – Murmansk region) and a group on development of the transport network between Finland and Murmansk, reports the Department of Economic Development of the Murmansk region.

Murmansk region is represented by the deputy governor heading the Department of Economic Development, Mr. Valery Talichkin.

The main collaboration directions for Finnish Lapland and the Murmansk region is the municipal partnership, specifically economic development, ecology and tourism.

The prioritized projects include Alakurtti technological park and transport network development on the way Finland-Murmansk including the construction of a railway branch Salla – Alakurtti.
