SIVA got 8 mill for NWR in state's budget for 2008

SIVA shall continue its activities in Northwest Russia in 2008 and the Norwegian government has allowed 8 million-budget for SIVA’s innovation activities in Northwest Russia. This will promote Norwegian Russian economic cooperation.

SIVA’s activities in Northwest Russia were prioritised in 2006. The international cooperation is an important part of the innovation policy.

SIVA and its partners shall stimulate the increase in activities in bio prospecting, tourism, innovation centres in Northwest Russia and eco-friendly maritime operations.

SIVA works on further development of innovation centre in Murmansk with focus on energy, marine sector and environment. The incubator will be opened by the end of 2007. This will improve the economic cooperation and opportunities for Norwegian companies.
